Quest Children's Services offers a wide range of Life Skills Programming. From basics, such as Interpersonal Relations, utilizing daily
tasks & activities, from Recreation to Household Chores & Duties, the residents learn to cope with their peers as
well as the adults & authority figures they deal with on a day to day basis, to banking, money management,
resume writing & other employment skills. Household Chores, laundry, food preparation, personal hygiene, sex education,
health care & educational planning to name some of the skills necessary
to planning & creating a future. Along with the in-house programming Quest utilizes many community organizations,
such as the local recreational organizations, hockey, baseball & soccer as well Scouts Canada, the army & sea
cadets to name a few, to enhance the youths interpersonal skills & broaden the scope of their peer relations. A woodworking
shop ia also utilized, where the residents can work on everything from crafts to furniture making, supervised by a qualified
carpenter. To facilitate this programming a full time CYW/Life Skills worker spends 40hrs a week with the residents.
